Timi Frank Accuses INEC Of Inducing Csos With N300m To Rig Elections

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has accused the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmoud Yakubu of inducing civil societies organisations (CSOs) with the sum of N300 million.

Frank, in a statement claimed that the monies were doled out to the CSO’s as part of the grand design by INEC to rig the general election for the APC. While warning Yakubu not to set the country ablaze, he demanded for separate accreditation of voters on Election Day with the figures recorded, announced and issued to political parties’ agent before voting. Frank, who is an ally of the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, urged Yakubu to disclose the source of the N300 millions he allegedly shared to the CSPs and some political parties for them to support his plot to impose rigging plan on them.

Frank expressed confidence that there would be a repeat of the defeat of the ruling party in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the forthcoming election in Nigeria. He commended the people of Congo for their courage and strong desire in the face of intimidation by the government of Joseph Kabila-led ruling party, expressing confidence that Nigeria experience similar feat in next month’s presidential election.Frank warned INEC to emulate the electoral body in Congo by refusing all forms of pressure from the APC and cabals in the presidency to rig the forthcoming elections.
