ACTDA Refutes Alleged Building Collapse In Awka


Following reports of an alleged building collapse at No. 7 Ogene street Ukpono, Awka, the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority through its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Venerable Amaechi Okwosa has said the reports are not only false but also misleading.

He said what transpired at the said site was a controlled demolition by the property developer following directives by his Agency that the said property be removed having not met the requisite building standards.

He called on members of the public to disregard such reports and always endeavour to verify facts from the relevant Agencies.

He said ACTDA runs an open door policy and is always available and ready to provide clarification on any issue as posed by the public.
